Killer green.

Another threat to the environment: marijunana farms. Among the sins are erosion, leaky diesel equipment contaminating the soil and water, clean water diverted for irrigation, poison left for crop-eating wildlife, and fertilizer bags left laying around (the sheriff there suggests requiring a deposit on the fertilizer bags so they’ll be returned). Almost all valid points, but coming out of Berkeley, there naturally has to be a wacko angle:
“Organic and sustainable growing practices are well suited to this hardy plant. Cartels, diesel generators, and poisons are not. Consumers can demand the greening of the green, and move growers in the direction of environmentally friendly marijuana.”
